About me
I am from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I graduated from Westwood College of Technology in Woodridge, Illinois with an AS in Graphic Design and Multimedia.
When I'm not designing or writing code I can be found playing video games, golf, volley ball, bike riding or crocheting. I also enjoy art, music and traveling.
I recently finished rebuilding my home from the 2008 flooding.
What I do
I have been designing and developing web sites professionally for 6 years. I am passionate about creating great user experiences and specialize in creating interactive Flash applications. I enjoy learning and staying ahead of the curve with the latest web design trends.
I create W3C standards-compliant web sites using semantic XHTML and CSS. I also like to be sure they are compliant with Section 508 and WAI for web content accessibility. My sites are enhanced with javascript. This means people using screen readers or those with javascript disabled can still search the site without losing valuable content. It also ensures the website is usable across all web browsers. I am currently learning HTML5.
